His insanity act didn't fool the jury, which was made up of 7 men and 5 women, several of whom were Mormons. In case you're not familiar with the case, this is the guy who kidnapped Elizabeth Smart and made her one of his "wives."
Modern day Mormons are not down with polygamy -- "Big Love" and "Sister Wives" TV shows to the contrary.
