If you have ever attended a same-sex/single-sex school, describe your experience and what do you think are the advantages and disadvantages?
I went to an all girls high school in UK from age of 10 to 16. I believe that it instilled in me a rather unrealistic portrait of what boys were like. At that age, girls are focussed on boys and relationships quite a lot and I don't believe it's healthy to separate. Much better to have contact and get a more realistic attitude. Saying that, I know that I was also raised in an age that heroised it's men (WWII) so that also played into the unrealism of how we saw boys.
I went to a single-sex college.
Enabled me to focus on schoolwork at least 4-5 days of the week without distraction of men.
I highly recommend it if you are serious about your education.
Having said that, a single-sex high school would not have worked for me
