How much can "TRUE" love endure?
If I've reached my limit...would I be a contradiction?
Love is so complicated and not easily explained. Therefore, we need to look to God for answers regarding it. He is love, He is the creator of it. His word saids love is the all purpose cure, covering all wrongs. It is worth searching for and should be expressed openly.
But you need to ask yourself what has stretched you to your limit? Is your love unrequited? Is the love you possess for someone greater than the love they possess for you?
How can two walk together unless they agree? The two of you must be totally committed to one another. You have to trust one another with your very life. Without trust and commitment, it's not true love. It's a form of love, but not true love.
When you don't have the answers, God does. Ask Him, "Is this relationship His will for you?" Then accept His answer. Don't try to change it or question it. Know that He knows what is best for you. If you must let go of the relationship...Let Go. And know that God will bring the right person for you into your life. But you must let go of this relationship first.
If this is the person God has for you then ask Him to show you how to love the other person in order for them to grow in love by example. I wish you the best and know that with God, you will have the best. Be blessed Elisha - great name, by the way.
If you've reached your limit. Try stepping back a little. In time you'll decide whether you feel you can endure more, or whether you'll feel happier moving on.
You can love someone and still decide not to accept unacceptable behavior. It doesn't mean that you no longer love the person, it simply means that you also care about yourself.
True love is timeless and unconditional. I had written a hub about true love just the other day:

I've been given true love until I was a totally collapsed martyr who reached the limitation of total exhaustion in my self and all areas of my survial existential living. True love for someone can be until your own death. It has taken me over 10 years to sort out every areas of my life. I 'm slowly regaining my physical strength and creating some stability in all areas of my life.

I recently realized that true love might just not exist at all. The feeling of love is momentary, i.e. what you feel at that particulart point of time... Nothing is same after a lapse of time, or rather we are no longer the same....
