Who's your favorite rapper?

   I really don't have any favorites...but I like the style of Lupe Fiasco & Jedi Mind Tricks, using metaphors, analogies, history, politics and myth for their cryptic punchlines. For Lupe, I would mention - The Coolest, Dumb it Down, Put You on Game, Hello Goodbye, etc. Jedi Mind - Me Ne Sballo, Scars of the Crucifix, Saviourself, On the Eve of War, etc. What about you?

   fiery...I'm glad you said lupe Fiasco....Although rap is not music and generally sucks all around, at least he raps about things that have some kind of meaning and not just bitches and hos!

         I used to like Ice Cube before he went soft. No one currently gets me pumped, occasionally Kanye West, Eminem, but I really do like this song by Common right now.

   hmmm...Eminem, Jay Z, Snoop, and Dr. Dre 
   
   and rap is music just as much as anything else is. If screaming into a mic is considered musical, then so is rap.

    I would imagine that nearly all music released commercially these days is at least partially computer generated or edited. 
    
    And in my opinion making music on a computer can take just as much skill and creativity as playing a trumpet or piano, etc.  Anything that makes a noise that can be manipulated to form a tune from a piece of grass held between thumb and fingers to the grandest pipe organ is an instrument.

    I'm not a fan of the new rappers, I'm tryin' to get into Lil Wayne, but it ain't happenin yet. I'm ol' skool I guess, there are so many different styles its hard to choose "The One". If I had to pick one, all time, I would go with Notorious B.I.G. I think he was the whole package.
