So he keeps saying Boom! In all his threads, and people just dont get it. Some even mock, but if only they would get it, they would realize that it really is the coolest thing EVER. There's a reason for this incessant use of the wuchmacallit - explosive term. And if anyone can figure it, he shall be regarded by fierycj as well as all his contemporaries as an individual endowed with a rare insight and mental prowess. You may wish to participate in this Boom! Thread, by this the virtual world will implode and a realm of fiery coolness will issue forth from thine bellies. Gbawa! Which is to say, Boom!
Maybe it is the most uncommon word used in a blogg but it is one of the commonest people google and we all just did not know this.Boom industry. When is the next boom.Lyrics,"Boom boom shake the room".Groups The Boomtown rats, ok i have gone far enough.
The only thing that comes to mind is i vaguely remember hearing some producer, director or some thing of the sort always going "Boom!". So my guess is its related to that in some way.
Then again thats not exactly my area of expertise so im just basically saying whatever comes to mind.
In the Uk we had a puppet fox called Basil Brush that used that saying all the time, even released it as a single, here is the link just for you FJ, enjoy lol !
I'm thinking it has to deal with your desires to make movies? You know make an explosive movie on the screen to be remembered for all times so use the word here so that we will always remember yous hubs? I don't know I'm just guessing lol
Thanks all for playing in this thread. Badcompany you're a madman. Lol. Helen and Crazdwriter have pretty decent answers, though. But they're still far from it. Yes, boom! Its related to a movie, and yes its meant to draw attention to the sentence that comes after it. Like if I say, Boom! I'm getting married! It draws more attention than if I said the same thing without the Boom! Get it. But that still isn't why I say Boom! There's actually a place in a thread that I subtle stated it. If you figure it out, I bet you, you'll love me for it. No kidding. It summarizes my personality and how I'm gonna make my moves. It really is the coolest thing
BOOM!!! I don't know, but it's always anti-climactic to read whatever follows the "boom". We're expecting something Earth shattering, and then there will just be some routine question.
I quite like the 'attention getting' effect ,works like an advertisement...sorta like hey new product , oh its not , but by then Im here ...thumbs up fierycj for your creative efforts......
The Religious threads could do with some good marketing tips ..and Politics...they just need cheese n crackers to go with the whine
Has it got something to do with your name and picture? Is your first movie going to be called boom? Is it like your anouncement, like boxers have a particular song played when they enter the arena, is boom like your forum anouncement?
Ok, Here's a hint, its something a guy in a movie always says, and this guy is a really cool, cool, guy. His personality in this movie describes me in so many ways - the sense of humour, the swagger, the balls, all that. You outta figure it out now.
Long story short - Boom! Is the term usually used by the character Detective Alonzo played by Denzel Washington in the movie, Training Day. The movie won Washington an Oscar for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role. The movie was described as the Oscars as Boom effort - this was due to the fiery character that Washington played in the movie, a complete breakthrough performance by the talented actor, as well as the term used by the character played by the same. Search Google or YouTube with keywords Denzel Washington Says Boom in Training Day and the results are the same. So Boom! In this sense fully describes fierycj as fierycj has once mentioned in another thread that his personality, sense of humour, and swag can be summarized by Dec. Alonzo. And in some cases, even his sense of fashion. Fierycj can hardly do without his big black leather jacket and head warmers, especially at night - where it allows him to move as a killer. Alonzo moves as a killer as well - and all his actions come with a Boom! Here's a link to a dialogue in the 2001 movie directed by Antoine Fuqua where we find Washington incessantly using Boom! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0139654/quotes Thanks y'all for participating
Dammit! I should've known the answer to this one! It's been so long since I saw this movie, man! Denzel should've won an Academy Award for Best Actor for this role! Well deserved.
LMAO Lady? Me? heheh you're funny fiery. And as the saying goes to each their own...in this case tastes in movies. But that is interesing where you got Boom from...I seriouly did not think you got it from a movie out...almost was going to say it's going to be in a movie you're going to make.
When hearing the word beauty, what is the first thing that comes to mind ?I was relaxing, sort of meditating today, just watching the trees gracefully swaying in the wind, I noticed real beauty. I see beauty in nature and natural things, I see beauty in graceful lines and art. Where do...
Why do some Christians use the salutation, "Namaste"?As I write on Biblical topics, there are times those leaving insightful comments greet or conclude with, "Namaste"! While I'm sure it is meant as a positive salutation, in researching the word, it appears it is rooted in...
Anybody claiming that The Avengers is the best film they've ever seen obviously has not seen many films, or has an extremely short memory. I'm pretty sure these people were the same ones who were saying that Avatar was the best film ever, and before that The Dark Knight, and before that The Lord of...
