Is Paranormal Activity better than The Exorcist?

Absolute waste of time on their part. It is supposed to be a true film but nothing in the movie happened that could not be done with smoke and mirrors and the ending was so unbelievable.  It felt like the Blair Witch met up with daytime soaps.

Honestly, I saw this film last night. IT WAS THE BIGGEST WASTE OF MY MONEY EVER. Yes, so bad I had to capitalize that. neutral

It was not scary one bit. Even if you wholeheartedly believe in ghosts/demons, this was a waste. Poltergeist was more disturbng than this.

The Exorcist is a classic, and should not be compared.

Just another faux, documentary with a shaky camera all hyped up by the media.

Just puts a nail in the coffin for modern American horror films-now crud.

    Don't waste your time. neutral

Aww really?? I guess just different opinions. i mean of course the movie doesnt deserve a grammy but it was scary fun, for it being cheaply made it better then some of those movies that coust millions to make. i guess thats why i appreciated it

I saw the movie last Friday night. It wasn't that scary at all just suspenseful at times. I agree with torimari, Paranormal Activity and The Exorcist should not be compared.

On a positive note, see the movie for fun. If you go into the movie looking to have a little scary fun, then you'll get a kick out of it. This movie is simple. No need to over analyze it.

People are saying that it is really scary. But, I think those are the people who don't seem to watch a lot of horror movies. As for me, it wasn't scary at all. I am a horror movie buff so this was something I had seen before. They make a ton of movies just like this one.

Still go see it if you can, I went to see it and it was scary for me. If you go in knowing what to expect, low-budget, no A-list actors, and if you enjoy horror films then you too may enjoy it

I appreciate the movie for what it was- decent entertainment with a slight 'scary' feeling to it.  It was a little eerie at times but nothing too frightening.

Just kinda surprised one of the commercials for it actually show the last scene of the movie...hmmmmm

Seriously though, previews are meant to look amazing to get people into the actual film. I guess I can see where some people would find it creepy, but I laughed the entire time. It was slow, annoying, and funny.

It was not supposed to be a true film. Nothing ever said it was.
    All made up.
They tried to make it look real, but never said it was or based off anything.
