    I believe it is the person's passion for it.  When a person is passionate about music it has a way of making it into their performance.  It makes it makes it better than good talent.

    In my opinion I believe the concept of what IS talent defines what is good or great! All artists considered to be Highly talented have undergone their own set of trials and tribulations to become that way. Those trials will be different for each of us. So to answer your question, I firmly believe Desire, Motivation, Inspiration, Patience and Perseverance to be the greatest "talents" an artist can have. Everything else can be learned musically. Those that had "Great Talent" and floated to the Top with ease....didn't stay there long with ease....Many of the most talented individuals out there you will never hear their names as talent doesn't necessarily = Fame.
