Catch Me If You Can!!! He's a great actor, and he can make any movie good. But when he's given a good story, well, then the movie is amazing. I think I particularly like this movie because it's based on a true story, but it's really hard to believe that this man actually lived. And, in truth, he's still alive! Inception was also amazing, and Shutter Island... Leonardo DiCaprio is just awesome, in everything wink

Thanks Lauren, I love him in Inception, probably my favorite, although the others you mentioned are good as well!  The Departed is also a good one!

Have to agree with the beach, it's just interesting and a good view on how people interact and would sacfice morality in favour of satisfaction.

It's a toss up for me, either The Departed or Inception. DiCaprio is just one of those actors that can hit the drama tones perfectly. He's incredible in both movies. The Departed: From the first time you see his character you know that he is going to be the most intense(besides Nicholson's character) character to watch. He played that part with such realism that for me, It felt like I wasn't watching DiCaprio play another character but I was actually just watching the character's troubled life playing out. Inception: The way he played that part sucked me in right off the bat. But in this one, even though his extra dramatic scenes are awesome, it was the subtle way that he portrayed the character of Cobb. Always knowing that any minute he could slip into a limbo that he would never escape from. Every scene he is in he always has some small expression of "farewell" to the real world. Besides the movie being incredible in general, there was one scene with DiCaprio that sent chills down my spine, won't say which scene so that I don't give away anything vital to the story(for those of you that haven't seen the movie).

The Departed with Nicholson, Wahlberg, Damon, and Sheen.  All the roles were well filled...lots of action and intrigue.

    Again there are many...
'Inception' and 'Catch Me If You Can' were exceptional indeed...not to forget 'The Departed'...

But I also loved 'J. Edgar' and 'Revolutionary Road'.

The Departed or Catch Me If You can.  I also like the Titanic and admit that movie was a total guilty pleasure for me.

"What's Eating Gilbert Grape" is my favorite. I think this is one of his best and most under-rated performances. I also think it is one of the best and most under-rated movies ever. Not glamorous - but so wonderfully authentic and heart-wrenching. He and Johnny Depp together: So good.

You know there was a time when I would have said none of the above.  But in one year Leo did Inception and Shutter Island both terrific films.  I would have trouble choosing between them.  I am now something of a fan.

My favorite is "Titanic".  He was so charming and bridged the social gaps with no fear.  It was a very romantic movie.  I saw him as handsome, sexy and formidable.  His love was never-ending.  The movie, based on history, made his character all the more believable.  The remake in which he starred showed a more personal view of a historical tragedy.  He did a wonderful job!

Although I take exception to this question; I would have to conclude that it would indeed be Inception. Inception was a great book and this actor's expertise did little to contribute to the movie's brilliance; keep in mind, I do understand that he was the significant reason that it made so much money...

One might think Titanic, but that's not mine. He is an actor who has surprised me over the years. After the fiasco with Romeo and Juliet, I figured he'd be a teen idol, and that would be it. After Titanic, I figured he'd be a one-hit wonder. Then, films such as Aviator and Blood Diamonds came out. The man has turned into a first-rate actor. The only thing that bugs me is the language in his films (accept for Titanic). Apart from that, I loved him best in Shutter Island. The story was unique and the many different personalities that he went through in that film really showed off his acting ability.

'The Man in the Iron Mask' is by far my favorite movie by Leonardo DiCaprio. He plays two roles - identical twin brothers - and the fact that I can tell which character he is portraying simply by the look in his eyes shows just how talented he is.
A close second favorite is 'Shutter Island' and third is 'Inception'.

I'd have to say Titanic because it's such a wonderful movie full of romance, humor and most of all, because the movie is about an historical event.
