Difficult question!  Especially because, there are so many different movie genres.  For years my favorite movie happened to also be my favorite novel when I was a kid: 20,000 Leagues under the Sea.  Nowadays I probably prefer comedy to anything else.  Airplane makes me laugh silly....  For horror, I love The Howling with Dee Wallace.  I also love The Great Outdoors with John Candy and Dan Akroyd and I know few will agree with me on that choice!

I can never get enough of the movies "Hangover" & "Hangover 2".  Those movies keep me laughing. Keep on hubbing  smile

Avatar is my favorite movie of all time. I watched it four times at the Collosus IMAX theater in Langley, British Columbia in Canada. The special effects are so mind-boggling. All my senses felt so satisfied after watching. It was like eating the best gourmet dish in a fancy restaurant that money can buy. I don't recommend watching Avatar on a small screen or TV though,  it won't have the same effect on you. Maybe a 50" 3-D home entertainment system will do.

The colors in the movie were just brilliant! It is also my favorite movie of all time. The morality, the story line, the pride of the people, it all came together to show just how human we all are.

Probably "Dirty Dancing" although I also love Die Hard (I just caught it on TV the other day).

I have lots 'n' lots of favorites but my overall #1 is still the original "RoboCop" (1987)...I've lost count of how many times I've seen that, and I never get tired of it.

I used to go back and forth between which was my favorite. Rocky is currently my favorite film of all time and has been for a while. It's a classic underdog story with an excellent cast.

" Field of Dreams" is one. Only movie that gave me goose bumps more than once  and still makes me tear up at the end. The other, "My Cousin Vinnie"
This movie was well written, well casted, well acted and flat out hilarious.

Crash! If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it. Many lessons to be learned in this movie.

I'll say Double Indemnity. It's a classic story of lust and greed ruining people's lives and leaving people worse off than they intended. Plus the chemistry between Fred MacMurray and Barbara Stanwyck is awesome. If you haven't seen it- I suggest you do!

Interview with a Vampire, has been my favorite movie since I was 6 or 7 years old. I love it even more now because these are the vampires were scary yet vulnerable, not the sparkly day walking teddy bears like in Twilight and Vampire Diaries.
