What is your Favorite Christmas Movie?

It has to be “A Christmas Story,” about a boy and his gun! Perhaps a simpler time (1939/1940), but still there is a sense that the commercialization of Christmas was already in full swing even then. The movie has almost nothing to do with the Christmas story (Jesus) and everything to do with Americana. To be honest with you, I think that is about how American kids see it – then and now. Mainly, it is just funny.

I absolutely LOVE "A Christmas Story"!  I have to watch it every year, drives my husband crazy.  He doesn't like the movie.

Either The Grinch or Home Alone films. I love those two.

I think the first Home Alone is by far the best movie out of the series.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. I watch it every year. Close behind are Bad Santa and the George C Scott version of A Christmas Carol.

You know I've never seen National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.  I seen a Commercial the other night with most everyone from all the National Lampoon Movies.

White Christmas with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye, happy, colorful, corny and wonderful dancing and music.

Even my grand kids love it.

My favorite Christmas movie is The Christmas Story with the Red Ryder BB gun.

Depending on my mood it can be "White Christmas", "It's a Wonderful Life" or "The Muppet Christmas Carol".

But this year I have found a guilty pleasure in TV Christmas movie "Battle of the Bulbs": http://www.themoviescene.co.uk/reviews/ … bulbs.html
