What is your favorite Christmas movie?

My favourite Christmas film is A Christmas Carol, the B&W, Alistair Sim version; however, the Patrick Stewart version is rapidly becoming the definitive, and my favourite.

Bad Santa. I adore Billy Bob Thornton. I also love The Nightmare Before Christmas.

There are so many good ones, especially the classics like "White Christmas", "Miracle on 34th Street" and more.  But my favorite is still little Ralphie's adventures in 1983's "A Christmas Story".  It just strikes so close to my own family and childhood.  Truly a wonderful film!

My favorite is Miracle on 34th Street.  I also enjoy the Christmas Hallmark movies, The Grinch, the Peanuts Christmas movie and the Muppets Christmas Carol.

I have many favorites, but I'll have to go with Christmas Vacation, since nobody else picked that one.  My brother, mother and I can quote that movie.  I remember seeing it in the theaters when it first came out!

The original Die Hard is by far my favorite Christmas movie (it's set at Christmas time, so it counts!). My favorite traditional Christmas movie would probably have to be the claymation Rudolph.

Cant choose 1 but top three are
    A Christmas Story
    Christmas Vacation
Obviously I am more of a comedy guy.

Thank you! I was hoping someone mentioned Elf! I think that's the best Christmas movie. Every time I think of that movie I think "The best way to spread christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!"

A Christmas Story is a classic!  Love it!

White Christmas with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye.  A fun mix of romance, dancing and good music.

Oh and Poeticfool reminded me of Miracle on 34th St - the old black and white with Maureen O'Hara.

And I have to admit, this time of year I love the corny, predictable Hallmark Channel Christmas movies.  Also end happy, that's my kind of movie.  Who cares about reality?

Although I do love the classics, I also love the modern movies too. I adore Elf and The Family Stone. Living in Georgia I love watching movies with lots of snow. I love the thought of snow but being a Southerner means not lasting more than three days snowed in before going insane. All Southerners love the thought of a White Christmas but many would not be very merry past 48 hours snowed in.

I have 3.  National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Planes, Trains and Automobiles and Elf.  I have all 3, wouldn't be able to pick only 1.
