   In a moment of doubt for wanting to pursue my dream of becoming a music artist
   
   I'm kind of impatient lately, especially when I keep trying new things but they don't sound good. I want to go back to my old things but it doesn't sound good. Its also really hard because I'm in this alone, with no support whatsoever. Lately its been hard to finish songs and find ways to sing covers. Its hard and I don't even know what to think or do. I don't want to give up but I can't at the same time

   Eliminate the word 'Can't '  - Try find a group of people with the same interests as you for support and back up . If you are a good singer - Go for it ! There are many of us who wish we could sing good and love to hear new singers - Hope it goes well for you.

   Hey... I'm 54. Gave up my day job last year to become a songwriter. Wrote some songs and now I'm in the middle of making an album. I still suffer from stage anxiety so I've got to learn to get that under control through playing live as often as I can. To accomplish this, I'm travelling Europe this year to play to as many people as I can wherever I can.
   Life is for living and dreaming... and dreams shouldn't be left to wither and die. If you want it, DO it. By doing it, you'll get better at it, and it will become easier. Don't listen to critique or negative advice (not even your own)... the process of learning to do what you want to do is part of the process and the adventure.
   Ignore those feelings of doubt... I have them all the time too, but they are just annoying habits of our brains. Don't listen to them, just keep on doing and doing...
   And if I can do it at 54... you can do it too.
