   I have asked the same question!  What IS wrong with Miley Cyrus?  I think the question itself is the answer.  It is absolutely beyond my comprehension why someone would want to act the way she does.  She doesn't know yet what she doesn't know.....

   I guess it is all about money for now her father has done a worse video than she ever thought about...well maybe. I use to think she was pretty and a good singer and now I just don't want to see her. I guess these people never give any thought for their souls and it shows. I hope her short life will be worth it if she continues this way.

      Lady Gaga could do the same thing and no one would bat an eye! It's not (what) Miley Cyrus is doing that shocks people. It's the fact that it's "Miley Cyrus" doing it!
      Fans like to keep their entertainers in a box. Madonna/okay, Miley/no way! :-)

   There is nothing wrong with her.
   I'm not a fan but I understand controversy gets attention and builds entertainment careers as well as wealth. Cher, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, Rihanna, Britney Spears, and numerous other female acts have used sexuality and odd behavor to promote their careers. This is nothing new!
   Miley's goal appears to be to avoid a careers similar to Tiffany or Debbie Gibson. They stopped being "relevant" on the music scene when they became adults. I believe this is a well orchestrated calculated move on her part to destroy the Hannah Montana image. She wants to be taken seriously as a "rock star."
   What she is doing is a far cry from what Justin Bieber is doing or the stuff that Charlie Sheen and Robert Downey Jr. did. Once an entertainer is constantly in trouble with the law or doing heavy drugs that's when you know the wheels are coming off.

      Dashingscorpio I do not support any of the names mentioned above theY all fall in the same category. As for Miley my question is based on her because she is not the one in the spot light going from one crazy level to a next. she NEEDS HELP/GUIDANCE

      LadyFiddler, I don't own any of the other women's music either. I simply was explaining what Miley is doing is not new or all that far fetched. If Lady Gaga did the same thing no one would bat an eye. Miley is the one in the spotlight (right now).

   Somebody once said "There's no such thing as bad publicity". She's attention-whoring, but she's far from the first one. Like dashingscorpio said, there are countless of examples of celebrities that have built careers on controversies, but as far as it works making them popular, they don't care.
   
   It's obvious that Miley needed to do something to break out of her Hannah Montana image and that's what she's doing. She is going full speed in the other direction by being as controversial as she can. Meanwhile, other artists have crashed and burned just for being typecast in certain roles, be it child roles or any other roles.
   
   I don't necessarily agree with her decision, or even like her. To me, she's just a ridiculous attention whore... but in a way, I can understand her strategy. And like I said, it's working.

      It is working! She is getting more attention than any other singer at the moment. People who are the most upset are those who want her to remain as Hannah Montana. As long as she's not into heavy drugs & breaking laws she's playing the "fame game

      Well most of these stars that plays the fame game we see where they end up. Don't we? dead like an old dog and forgotten soon after all the crazy.... they do to get attention does not live on. They go on drugs etc they ARE NOT HAPPY NEITHER IS WHORIN

   I can tell you what is wrong with Miley Cyrus, as well as Justin Bieber and all of these young people who have it all.  THAT is the problem.  They have everything...and more...and NOW they are bored, frustrated, and just don't know what to do with themselves.
   
   They have lost the meaning of the word "appreciation."  They have so many fans, that they think they are more popular than God.  It is all about THEM...no one else...so because they have all the money in the world, millions of fans, they can buy anything they want, can travel any place in the world, they have exhausted the meaning of life.  They forsake their Creator, and they either turn to drugs and alcohol, like Justin Bieber, OR they turn to acting like a fool.
   
   Enter Miley Cyrus riding her wrecking ball in the nude.  If I see her tongue sticking out one more time I think I will vomit.  She is now flaunting her body, and acting as disgusting as possible to get MORE attention.  It is despicable that Billy Ray Cyrus "supports" her. 
   
   I saw her in a couple movies and I just loved her.  I loved her song, The Climb.  Well, as far as I am concerned, she has reached the top of the mountain and has taken a horrible leap into this new behavior. 
   
   By the way I also loathe her new hair style.
   
   I used to admire Justin Bieber.  He was a Christian and a wonderful influence on teens...so was Miley.  I shudder at our new generation and the negative role models that are being portrayed. 
   
   To answer your questions, I used to admire Miley Cyrus, but I am no longer a fan of hers.  I remember her dad, Billy Ray, testifying YEARS ago that God saved him. 
   
   I don't think Miley is a hopeless case.  I think she is a fool.  I saw on the internet that Justin Bieber's mother has asked people to pray for Justin.  I can do that, and I can also pray for Miley Cyrus.  WHAT to pray?  I don't know, so I have just placed them both at the foot of the cross of Jesus Christ and I'm leaving them there for Him to take care of.  For i believe God is in control of everything and everybody on this earth.

   I find her attitude as well as the one of Justin Bieber very sad.  They could use their fame and their money for good causes to help kids in real need.  They are just spoiled by life.  I don't listen to their music because I like classical music but you can't escape to hear about them when you listen to the news!

   Controversy, as a musician, equals money. The fact that you made a post about Miley Cyrus proves that she is doing it right. If people are talking about her, she stays relevant, regardless of whether or not that talk is bad. Celebrities have been using manufactured controversy since the beginning of celebrities.
