What's Your #1 Movie of All Time?
If you could recommend only one movie to somebody, which one would you recommend?
In my opinion and it is merely my opinion, it is Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.
The original "RoboCop" from 1987. It's got everything I love about movies all rolled up into one film - black comedy, science fiction, over the top action and destruction, etc. It's like a really kick-ass comic book come to life.
Fifty years old today, it is still, I believe, one of the greatest films made. I speak of 'Doctor Zivago.' When it came out and those credits came out at the beginning of the movie, how the scene was set: a frozen hand sticking up through the snow; a German soldier frozen to death and hunched over his machine gun behind the barbed wire.
The film had everything: violence, sex, love, loyalty and betrayal. The musical theme is still popular. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking and yet, the snow wasn't real. The locations weren't filmed in the wilds of Siberia but in sunny Spain, the snow being made of paper, I'm told.
If you get a chance to see this film, do so. It bespeaks an era in history in which the whole world changed.
My favorite one is Gone with the wind. I love both the book and the movie.
This is a tougher question than you think because you are actually asking two questions. 1) What is my all-time favorite movie and 2) What movie would I recommend to others. I will politely decline to answer "My favorite Movie". As far as recommending goes, I will go with "To Kill a Mockingbird" with Gregory Peck.
My favorite movie starred Steve McQueen, Richard Attenborough, Richard Crenna, and Candice Bergman. The movie is "The Sand Pebbles" and was made in 1966. The backdrop took place on a gun boat in the Yangtze River in China during 1926. I am absolutely mesmerized by the scenery and the acting.
Scent of a woman. Starring Al Pacino and Chris O'Donnell
I like the story
Of all the movies I have watched so far, the #1 of all time would be Christopher Nolan's Inception.
It's one with a great story performed with exceptional acting, wonderful soundtrack and breathtaking visual effects.
Good question... Best movie ever made for me is 'The Great Dictator' starring my hero Charlie Chaplin. Then again for me all his movies are the best, but 'The Great Dictator' definitely stands out.

There are many truly memorable remarks uttered by actors on the big screen. My favorite is when Scarlet finally realizes what she had in Rhett just before he leaves and he utters that famous one-liner: "Frankly my dear Scarlet, I don't give a damn."What's your favorite?
