I've always wanted to be in a band, but instead of actually learn an instrument, my first step to musical stardom is picking out the perfect band name.

Does anyone else have a great band name? And why would this band name reflect your music or style?

My band name of choice would be: The Lowbrows.

Our sound would be gritty, sleazy, and sexy. I'm all about celebrating art in all it's various forms, so we would prove that what is considered "lowbrow" is also cool and beautiful.

My husband was in a band. The band still exists, but we had to mover. The band's name is Hard Drive, because they play rock music. When he was in a country band, it was called Cedar Creek.

One Shot - and our signature sound would be a gunshot  - course, it would only happen once in each song.  And man, the vids from the performances would be incredible!

what's more it just happens to have to be an all girl band!

WORD!  bUT of course One Shot may never get to BE becuz I made it up - ok, don't want y'all to start thinking I'm into real guns and icky, bloody videos.  Becuz, I'm not.  But I do think it would be kind of fun to PLAY keyboards and guitar and violin and drums in an all girl band where all the girls can play all the instruments and we just have so much fun! / wearing our many hats /   . . .   so I pretend

      BANG!

and that's the end of that li'l song.

Cool, a girl group. A gun shot or an explosion is always a great way to end a song.

I always dreamed of being in a band also, a band name that I always thought of if this were to happen would be Rock Bottom because we would play all the old rock and roll music.

I've been in a few bands and their names were Zephyrus, Small Tribe, The Love Guppies, Morning Wood, SKIN, TAT2, and now Rockoetry Inc.

Of course I'm a classical musician, so my picks are a bit different.

I currently have a group called "voix de temps" (French for voices from time).

If I created a new group it would be called "Don't Fix It" inspired by a tired grad school joke.

Well, the band that my husband and I put together is/was called ThankYouGoodNight. It's what the folks at the Japanese restaurant we like always call out when we're leaving.  TYGN was pretty good for several years,  now we're an acoustic project unless we decide to rebuild.  Let me tell you, building a band is a challenge no matter how you do it! If you want to check out what's left of it or, actually, what it was, visit www.thankyougoodnightband.com.

Personally, I like anything that says "Silver"  smile))
