There is no "god", so this is a meaningless question.
If you believe in "god", then your "god" is a sadist desiring to, at the least, annoy you, and at worst to give you diseases.
To annoy the hell out of us. Flies add to your discomfort in the summer, and mosquitos to do the job in winter.

Start off with the big fanfare and "I have a task for you to build an Ark."
Noah's bro: "Good idea oh Lord - my brother is already working on it....."
GOD: "No... a SECOND Ark.... to carry all that sting, bite, and nip...."
Noah's Bro; " Oh.... So my brother gets all the NICE animals like zebras, birds and butterflys - but I get all the nasty things l;ike mosquitos, flies and fleas? ... Gee, Thanks Lord ... Thanks a lot."
