It isn't a specific event. It is a time of year. The transition from summer to fall. All of the activities associated with that transition, breaking out sweaters and warmer clothes that had been hidden away, pumpkin pie, changing colors on the trees....
    I miss it terribly.

Here are five great memories: raking up a big pile of leaves and jumping in it, playing in the woods, track and field day at elementary school, and finding/taking care of a lost kitten. Also it was a lot of work to ride my bike up the BIG hill. But flying back down.... awesome!

I thought that this would take a minute but oddly enough it didn't.  My mom passed from breast cancer when I was 6 but before she did we spent alot of time in the kitchen baking pies and cooking in general and now I pass that down to my daughter.  Telling her about her grandma.  Well, what I can.

Playing with my two sisters - the creativity used in the games we played is adorable, and the way i manipulated the role of my character in order to get chocolate from them, ie when i was playing that i was the easter bunny, however THEY had to give me chocolate!!

Me, my four sisters and my brother during the summer months, would make sure sunset found us outside on the front porch.  We would end up with the other neighborhood kids on the sidewalk playing games....red light/green light, mother-may-I, hide and seek, etc.  Wonderful times and great memories.
