I always wanted to be a teacher. I played "school" on almost a daily basis...
Many things: an artist, a sailor, an explorer. I managed to become all of these things, if you can regard writing as an art. I served in the navy, and even served a turn as an Antarctic expeditioner, probably the nearest thing you could get to being an explorer in the late 1970s.
All of these things are really only the precursor to what we all really want: to understand and find meaning in lives which means, of course, to become an explorer and explore the worlds of our own psyche. So that's my present want as a big kid.
