What do you think of waiting in line behind someone who is using a lot of coupons?

Do you get frustrated or understand that in these hard times you have to do all you can to save money?  Do you wish you were using them as well?  Wonder where they get them all?

Not half as bad as the person who takes what seems like 17 minutes to write out a check for 11 items.

I am one of those coupon users. Sorry. Living on a fixed income, I have to do everything I can to make my money stretch for a month.

I one of those coupon clippers! I often wonder what the people in line behind me are thinking... especially when I question a price. (Once a clerk ADDED my coupons to the bill instead of DEDUCTING them, so I keep a close eye on them.) Once, however, the couple behind me actually cheered when they watched my bill go down as the cashier scanned the coupons. I felt like a champion!

Good luck to them, it shows they have the sense to save where they can.  I would love to do it but not much opportunity here in France.

I too am a coupon user and in fact when I asked this question it's because I held up the line yesterday.  I was wondering what people were thinking and feeling bad but at the same time I save a lot of money.  I agree with all of you.  I definitely have to in order to feed my family.

Slaffery! I am also a couponeer!!! But when I'm really at it, I try to go do my shopping early, so I avoid the crowd... cashiers seem to be in a better mood...
In regards to your question and your concern, I do pity the one next in line, but such is life!
You gotta do what you gotta do and, hopefully that person has the choice of going through some other checkout! ;D

I use coupons as well and if I have a lot of stuff usually I let people with less items go ahead to save them time. People appreciate that but if I'm already being scanned through there isn't much I can do other than apologize for the wait.
