Is there anyone from your past that lives within you?

It’s been said that after they pass away, the most important people in our lives “live within us.” Is there anyone from your past that lives within you?

Many people live within me. Anyone who has ever been a good friend, a close family member or someone i look up to and left a piece of themselves within me which I shall carry for the rest of my life. We learn most of what we know from others.

Sure my loved ones are within me on many things I like, on decisions I make. After the loss of my son I started searching for answers and it was the Spiritual Enlightment  by Lola Jones which led me to the path where I found the Peace I have today. It was a life change. It happens to be exactly according to my sons beliefs. He is  gone to the non-physical dimension but keeps helping me to bear the excrutiating pain he left behind. Nowadays I am able to thank God because he came to us instead of crying because his death. No more desperation - Peace instead.
Recently, for instance, I looked for a small watch the style my godmother used to have- the same kind of delicate  band in rhinestones. It makes me feel so good to use it...I remember her on and on  during the day when I look to  see what time it is...
    Good question!

My maternal grandparents were practically nuclear family for us, so I feel as though they're still with me, years after their passing. In addition, my very first true love passed the year after I graduated from college. He will always be part of the story of my life, and many of the people we mutually knew identify us partly in terms of one another.

There have additionally been a number of dear friends, as well as a number of significant adversaries, who have directed the path that my life has taken. They still have a large impact on who I am today.

Yes, my parents. I lost my parent when I was young. I know that their presence is with me because when I am in a delima and can't figure it out, one of them always shows up in a dream with direction or encouragement. I know however, it is God who comes to me in the form of one of them. It is amazing and I am always thankful their brief visits.

My father passed away in 2008 and I have found since his passing that I am becoming more and more like him.

His mannerisms; his sayings...I have even begun to look more like him....

I feel like I understand my father on a level that I never did and possibly never could have when he was living.

I have a dual perception.  My own and my fathers.

It's all at once interesting and comforting.

I feel like my father is becoming more and more part of me and I part of him.
