When is it a good, if any, time to tell a child they are adopted by one of their parents and why?
What is your opinion on when it's a good time to tell a child they are adopted by one of their parents and why?
I don't think it should be kept a secret at all, but is not something that comes up in a conversation with kids. When your child is in the first few years at school, he or she will be given an assignment or project involving family trees. This would be a good time to tell you child that he was so loved and wanted by the adoptive parent that he or she was adopted.
