Do you believe that breast feeding makes a baby smarter and healthier?
smarter; i don't think so ... healthier and able to fight off diseases without medication; yes.
I think a mother's milk is the best nutrition for a baby. It's definitely healthier than formula. As far as making a baby smarter, it would make sense that the baby is getting better nutrition to feed their minds. There would be no way to really test this hypothesis though.
Yes and Yes. BUT it depends on the nutrition the mother is giving herself as well! If the mother isn't eating well and is feeding herself fast food, and other processed junk foods, then that is exactly the kind of nutrition the baby will get.
I do think it plays a part in intellect as well as health. I have noticed that kids who have been breastfed tend to have longer attention spans then formula fed children and I work in a day care.
Smarter. No. Healthier yes in a way due to nutrients in breast milk and immunity to things as long as the mum is sensible in her lifestyle and diet too. Remembering a portion of mums diet flows through.

Why is it generally tolerable for men to go topless in public, but not women? This is a serious question. Why shouldn’t women be comfortable? And what is with all the consternation on the subject of breast feeding in public? Isn’t it what breasts are for? I tried to post this as a...
