How can you be a family without being with your child's mother / father?
Recently broke up with my baby mom & I know I have a responsibility to my son. I DO NOT want him to feel like he comes from a broken family... Of course he will understand mommy & daddy aren't together but I would like to set a good example for him so he knows he needs to be there for his kids; Like I was there for him.
Just spend as much time with him as you can. And don't be like some divorced people I know and use the kid as a pawn or say bad things about his mother when he's around. I'm not saying you will, just pointing out what I've seen some people do. I know people who have grown up in a family where mom and dad are divorced and they're very good parents now.
