Hello. I am new here and some of the tips said to dive right in and start posting on the forums....so here I am. I am the mother of two small boys. My youngest one is deaf; we found out when he was 3 months old. His birth and his medical diagnosis has changed our lives. I am hoping to write about it. I am not really sure how this whole thing works. I have been a part of a forum community before and I know how things work If anyone has any tips for me that would be great! I can't wait to look around and check things out.
Hello & Welcome!
There are a lot of friendly and helpful people here, I'm 2 weeks new myself so I don't really have tips for you, but someone else will come along and let you know how things work.
Welcome to Hubpages Christina.
Glad you found us.
I am sorry I can not offer any advice on your situation with your child but I am sure someone who can will be along soon.
Welcome here! I just read and commented on your hub. Do read the 'Help' section (http://hubpages.com/faq/) and hope to see more of you around the forums. Best of luck!
It is nice to be here. I feel very welcomed already.
have you checked out any of the other threads? they can be quite engaging.
Welcome Christina. My niece is totally deaf and she is a very special and wonderful person. She grew up hearing and then she got tumors. Here is a picture of her as a young girl.

She was a medical pioneer for about 6 years with a PABI implant. She has had many challenges but is a bookworm and has a growing library. She is a movie person too and has tons of dvds. She is very good with little children. She now works at Target as a cashier.
Recently Katie sent this link about NF2 and I thought you might be touched with it. Feel free to share it with others.
Welcome to HubPages! I can't offer any advice, but I look forward to reading your Hubs and, I'm sure, someone here has experienced what you are going through. Try using the search feature. You may find some hubs about deaf children. Good luck
Hey Christina! Well it looks like those two boy's lucked out and got a great Mom! Welcome!
Wow...feel the love...lol. I do have a guick question, although I am sure I am asking it in the wrong place...I have written several papers and I would like to make them hub topics. I have used several sources for these papers and need to give credit. How do I do this? Just list the sources at the end (although they are also in the text of the paper)? Any help would be awsome!
Hi, my husband is deaf in one ear and hard of hearing in the other, (no joke, tho it sounds like it could be), and one of my children had severe health problems that led to kidney failure and two transplants, but he is not a little one anymore, but a grownman. Still, I can relate to having an ill child and what it does to parents, and to any kind of normal family life.
If you ever need anyone to talk to, or feel like just venting even, you can write me anytime, I usually check my email every day, so feel free. My email address is: firstname.lastname@example.org
I know how it can be, for I went through most of my problems with my kids by myself as a single mom. so I am here for any support I can give if you need it. and welcome to hubpages

Hi, everyone you might want to check the internet for your work. I've now found 3 of my articles on Facebook sites, Pinterest and on a blog site. I am not sure I can post the name here. They seem to have stolen a few articles I have read on here. If you have medical or heal dove pages some have...

Just gaging anyone else's earnings here. I just checked google adsense and I have earned 64 dollars in 18 months. I've only written 19 Hubs and most of them don't get any traffic. Any thoughts?

I've had several people contact me through HP wanting to hire me to write for their websites. They've all been totally legit and paid me what they said they would. They stumbled upon my hubs and liked them. This is just one more reason I love HP!!Anyone else had this wonderful experience?

With so much theft of my content recently, maybe I am paranoid, but I have to ask. In the last few days, I have had a huge increase in new followers. These new followers have either 0 hubs or 0 featured hubs. The profile pages are either blank or advertising something. ...

I was refraining about talking about this but it really is bad. Last month with adsense was my most profitable month, but this month so far I got 3 clicks...What could have made this change?-New Hubpages Layout?-April 1st Conflicker Virus? I was thinking these two things can't be so harmful to my...

Okay, I've tried both firefox and google chrome, which usually work with redgage, but for some reason it's not allowing me to post up links to it regarding my current hubs. I don't know why. Has anyone else had this problem?
