Easy Gobi Manchurian No-Fry Version

Gobi manchurian is Indian Manchurian for vegetarians. Usually manchurian use lots of oil but we made this one in just 1 Tsp of oil. This is tasty & healthier than meat one. Try it, it is easy to make.

  1. Cauliflower: 1
  2. Green chilies: 4.
  3. Sugar: 1 Tsp.
  4. Onion: 3 red big ones.
  5. Ginger: 1 inch piece
  6. Capsicum: 1.
  7. Garlic: 4 cloves.
  8. Spring onion: 2 Tbsp chopped.
  9. Coriander leaves: ¼ cup
  10. Soy sauce: 3 Tbsp.
  11. Chili Sauce: 1 Tsp.
  12. Tomato ketch up: 1 Tbsp.
  13. Vinegar: 1 Tbsp.
  14. Corn Flour: 1 Tsp.
  15. Oil: 1 Tbsp.
  16. Salt: to taste
  17. Water: 1 Tbsp

Method:

  1. Cut cauliflower in to florets.
  2. Cut capsicum in to ½ inch pieces.
  3. Clean the cauliflower thoroughly in the salt water and keep aside.
  4. Chop onions, ginger, garlic and green chilies together.
  5. Take a heavy base non stick pan and heat oil in it.
  6. Add the chopped veggies and sauté them for couple of minutes.
  7. Add cauliflower florets and capsicum in the oil.
  8. Add a pinch of salt and mix well,
  9. Now put the lid on the pan and cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes.
  10. Stir occasionally.
  11. After 10 minutes check the cauliflower, if it is still hard then cook for some time more.
  12. When it is cooked to your desired softness, add soy sauce, Chili sauce, ketchup, sugar , spring onion and vinegar one by one.
  13. Mix well.
  14. Taste for salt. If less then add more. Be careful as soy sauce too is salty.
  15. When the cauliflower is being cooked, in a small bowl, mix corn flour in water. Mix well so no lumps are formed.
  16. Now add this In the cauliflower mixture and stir.
  17. Now add coriander leaves to this. This is optional.
  18. Now bring the heat to low and cook for another 10 minutes.
  19. Garnish it with green chilies and chopped coriander leaves.
  20. Serve hot.
