Appetizer Recipe: Mozarella Cheese
Among the many simple appetizer recipes is marinated mozzarella cheese. Marinated mozzarella cheese makes great snacks, appetizers and a light lunch. This cheese is low in fat and high in calcium and boasts of many important vitamins and minerals. The cheese can be kept in the refrigerator for at least a week, and soaks in the great marinade which makes it tastier everyday.
This is one of my favorite appetizers to serve. I generally have a batch in the fridge for guests or we eat this appetizer ourselves. Try them on your next group of guests and see how they love these little cheese bits.
Make Mozzarella and Tomato Salad
- 1 pound Mozzarella cheese
- 1 Cup Olive oil
- 1/4 Cup Wine vinegar
- 2 Tablespoon Fresh basil
- 1 Tablespoon Oregano, Tarragon, Thyme
- One Minced garlic clove
- Salt an d pepper to taste
- Three Sliced tomatoes
Instructions for Simple Appetizers- Marinated Mozzarella
- Cut a pound of fresh mozzarella cheese into bite size pieces.
- Mix oil, vinegar, seasonings and shake well.
- Cover the cheese pieces with the mixture and put in a closed container. There may be some of the marinade left over.
- Refrigerate for 12 hours.

Other Mozzarella Cheese Ideas
Make a mozzarella salad. Slice tomatoes along with slices of mozzarella cheese. Overlap the slices and add chopped fresh basil, olive oil and seasoned salt and pepper.
Make a healthy mozzarella sandwich. Take a slice of whole grain bread,and a slice of tomato, a slice of mozzarella and broil in the oven until the cheese is melted.
Roast veggies such as broccoli, zucchini, yellow neck squash, Spice up with oregano, basil, salt and pepper. Drizzle olive oil over the veggies and add a cup of grated mozzarella cheese.
