   Do you eat out more than cook at home?
   
   Nothing is better than a home cooked meal, many people choose to eat out for convenience and miss that family time spent at the dinner table.

   I love to cook so we eat more at home than outside of the home. When we do go out my husband always says to me, You could have made this better than the restaurant did. We also find it way healthier to eat at home as well.

   I prefer to eat at home often than eating fast food. Eating at home is more cost efficient because the price of fast food fries cost about $2, and a 10 pound bag of potatoes cost about the same, $2. Saving money is crucial these days.
   
   Plus homemade meals give families a chance to have healthier food without preservative and other chemicals. And it's good practice to learn to cook from home.

      Yes, the savings we gain from eating at home is an important consideration! A friend once said she had more important things to spend her money on than food. I didn't quite understand at the time, but in the sense of this topic, she's certainl right.

   No, we eat at home more often.  Health trumps convenience in our book, and the health issue is more than the food content. It includes the fact that a little observation in restaurants tells a story of danger about food safety. Also, beyond food poisonings (of which there are many types worthy of learning about) restaurants are prime places for spreading viruses and other bacteria. When I think about it all I find it difficult to eat out for any reason, but sometimes we do it anyway, don't we?

   I would say 50 / 50 .....We are two people in my home. Myself and my son. Being an Eye Doctor doing 9 hours a day duty at the hospital, I am not very particular about eating at home. We do eat at home; but we also enjoy to dine out.

   We enjoy a cooked healthy and balanced meal at the dining table every evening. I eat out only on special occasions nowadays, as restaurant meals are quite expensive in the UK - especially if you want a meal that is as good as or nicer than home cooked food.(I don't view fast food chains as providing a proper healthy meal).
   
   However, I'm soon to visit family in Singapore. They tell me that eating out there is cheaper there than cooking imported ingredients at home.

   We try to cook at home as much as possible. Making large meals like bolognese and red beans and rice, then freezing the leftovers in portions. Sometimes we do steaks and the such. But every so often (few times a month) we just feel lazy and want to eat out or order in! It's easier and makes things interesting. Making a pizza is hard!
