Have you ever tasted Polish Vodka?

There are a couple of Hubs talking Polish Vodka. What's interesting is that
James Bond preferred Bison Grass Vodka. One of the few places in the world were the Grass was cultivated to feed the Bison Herds was Poland. Hence Bison Grass flavored Vodka. Now I know Bond was English and your Scotch, so we'll forgive you the inquity. Oban forever. David

I'm a vodka veteran, and I did take a sip of Polish vodka once, but it was about 25 years ago.  It was remarkably unpalatable. A friend of mine brought it back from Poland, and it was passed around at a 21st birthday party.  Those in my party who took more than a sip all vomited soon thereafter, and that was early in the evening.  Not kidding.

I'm guessing that it has improved since then.  The idea of a vodka with a nice grassy flavor is indeed appealing.

The vodkas from Poland I mention in my Ala Carte Chapter on the country were not only palatable, but extremely good tasting and very sippable. Zubrowka was a favorite that sustained me at cocktail hour for 3 weeks. When I returned to the states I slid right back into my usual one drink daily cocktail which is Tanqueray Gin with either Olives or Lemon.  Old habits die hard. David Russell

Heh, I'm from Poland. Vodka is something like our mark like a Fryderyk Chopin, Lech Wa??sa or Pope John Paul the Second.

It has a fame of the strongest vodka of Europe.
