How to make sure that your child eats a balanced and healthy diet?
Give them a variety of choices and limit the less healthy choices. Don't forbid them, just don't have them readily available.
Puree vegetables and use them in other foods when you cook. Tomato sauces (like those used for spaghetti) cover the taste of zucchini, squash, peas and so forth. The puree can be used to replace some of the fat in baked goods.
