   Do you enjoy cooking on an open fire  like we do ?!
   
   Is it something you enjoy / maybe haven't tried it yet love the idea or are you really just an indoors person ?
   I am talking about  in ok weather etc !
   If so what is the most adventourous thing you have cooked or made on an open fire ?

   Yes I do... I once lived in a home where I cooked over the fireplace for a few months before I got a stove.  I have always camped so it was easy, I even baked bread in a cast iron dutch oven.  I set it on brick in the fireplace and let it heat up, then slipped a risen loaf into the dutch oven and in an hour... bread...

   Good idea to try this, but have not.. only outdoor cooking I have done is the BBQ setup.  Problem we have is, we do not have a big open area to cook, so quite restrictive in movement and bringing out everything where the kitchen is concerned, is quite cumbersome.  May try this, at least once, even though with perhaps all the hassles trying to get this done well..

   I simply love grilling. Sometimes I also cook meat stews and soups over open fire. The woody smell somehow makes them taste better.

   Love it!  Besides the regular grill food like steaks, chicken, ribs and corn, we regularly cook veggies and roasts on the charcoal grill.
   
   In 2005 we had several hurricanes and tropical storms come through the state.  During one we lost power for a week so we used the grill - boiled water, made coffee, cooked frozen pizza, sandwiches, scrambled eggs, bacon, pretty much everything.

   Haven't tried it yet, but love the idea. Where can I got for more information? I'd love to spend a lot of time tent camping at the state parks.
   
   This is my main drawback --- I don't really know how to start a fire --- other than with the briquets and the lighter fluid. Yuck! Don't want that stuff near my food.
