Do you tip for takeout food when you pick it up at the restaurant and take it home?
I don't, although I am not sure if that is acceptable or not. Haven't really thought about it. Opinions?
I typically don't but for exceptional service I may leave something.
I don't unless it was done a lot quicker than what I expected or if you know you'd like to become a regular at the place and want better service there in the future.
I personally don't. But I'm curious as to what others do. I want to do what the majority does.

The chefs have done all the work for my take away and they rarely get any of the service tip. All the waiting staff have to do is charge you and take a bag of food from kitchen to counter.
If they can't even do this then I'd expect some compensation and certainly not tipping them for it.
It would be different if I was dining in their restaurant but I'm not
