I think a lot of kids want to sleep more than they want to eat. I've always been a breakfast eater, I can't function without it.
I was one of these breakfast skippers (I still am). I have always had trouble eating right after I wake up, I'm just not hungry yet. I would usually take something with me like a banana or granola bar to eat for breakfast as I was out the door.
Two reasons that make children skip breakfast:
1. They wake up early for school, which make it hard for them to have the appetite for eating before they go.
2. They simply don't have time, they hardly have the time to take a shower, put their clothes, brush their teeth and prepare their books ...
Good question I've always skipped breakfast. I noticed that I really don't have an appetite in the morning. I eat brunch though, like about 10 a.m., when I already feel very hungry I guess the same thing happens to children.
