For grilling meats, what do you prefer: chicken, steak, seafood, pork loin, burgers or hotdogs?
Love all meats grilled but my favorite is fillet mignon. My husband has a great touch with the BBQ and does it just right every time. it seems everything tastes better grilled.
As long as they're not overcooked, it's hard to beat lobster tails on the grill served with clarified butter and garlic aioli.
I don't believe I have. I live on the Gulf Coast -- certainly there's a place to try them!
there should be, if not just put them on the grill on medium heat. when they pop open drop some butter mixed with a few herbs (a teaspoon of Mrs' dash will do here) on them and let them simmer for 20 minutes in their shells. done. one of my favorites
Not to be disagreeable but the question seems like asking if i prefer pants or a shirt. I prefer both -- but specific details matter!
Barbecuing and Grilling and Smoking is like that for me. Allowing for the type of cooking to be "perfect" I do not think there is anything better than a great steak.
Steaks capture some archaic part of our romantic imagination and can be absolutely amazing when properly grilled and even when properly smoked.
For me a T bone grilled at 1300 degrees for a minute on each side and then slowly brought to temperature at about 450 convectional degrees so the moisture just runs across the plate as the filet and the strip come off the bone is absolutely ideal.
I have a solaire infrared gas grill. The pressurized burners use LP or NG and they'll grill over 1000 degrees within a minute of pressing the igniter. I also use a ceramic kamado for lower heat barbecuing and smoking.
All of the above - but mostly burgers - I love experimenting with different toppings! My favorite is blue cheese bacon burgers - I make my own blue cheese dressing that is amazing!
Anything grilled or barbequed is worth it and for anything new to grill is always worth a try. But I would always look for grilled pork belly chops (Sinugbang Baboy)! Grilled jumbo squid, wow! Giant oysters from my pa's hometown in Bantayan Island, Philippines, they would toss fresh giant oysters on top of a bonfire and pairing them with cold, cold San Miguel and Red Horse beer!
