What's the best way to keep bread (Especially flat bread/tortillas) fresh during the summer?
The freezer is your friend. Keep out only what you need for the next day or two. That goes double in warm, humid climates. The only alternative is to buy or make bread daily, which is the best way to do it from the point of view of good eating but is rarely a practical option in today's rushed lives.
Yes, the freezer is where I keep fresh bread I'm not going to eat right away. Be sure to use a ziplock freezer bag so it won't absorb odors. Thaw frozen bread on the countertop several hours before you want to use it.
I keep it all in the fridge. It does dry it out a little bit, but it will keep it from getting moldy.
