yes it's okay do not be scared of the protein and dressing. it has a good taste that masks the awful taste of salad
It is better to try to lose no more than 1-2 pounds a week, since you can easily put the weight back on. You might want to try the South Beach diet and yes you can have salad with chicken, tuna, shrimp and other forms of proteins. and something like a low-fat dressing.
