Just wanted to say hello.
So far this morning I have managed to accomplish saving a new blog name for a new project I'd like to start, coming up with a focus for my existing going-nowhere-fast blog, picking a topic for today's hub, starting some research on it, and thoroughly messing up my Analytics account. I also scrolled through the news, checked in briefly on my friends' boring lives, and officially 'ignored' a few more requests to join farmville, fishville, petville, medieville and mafia wars.
What you up to this morning/afternoon/evening?
Well hello there !! I have just finished teaching 6 straight hours and am settling in with a cold beer. So I am going off line and onto the sofa NOW - Nighty night !
'Nite AP. Haven't seen you in a while. I stopped hanging out in the religious forums!
Hope yer well, have a good evening.
that's funny! (part about checking in on friends on facebook) me - goofin' around on the forum while sipping my coffee - and soon have to get ready for work.
Rise and shine, someway, it's workin' time.
Don't work too hard. Just enough to let 'em know yer irreplacable.
Have a good day!
I worked on one of my websites for a bit, then slept for a few hours. Going to a friends tonight to hang out and have a good time.
I am glad to know you are working My next 2 days are filled with MRI's, CT's and still films so I am hanging around reading hubs and trying to distract myself! It going to be in the 80's here today so I intend to rest by my flower garden after lunch,
Keep working and I'll keep reading:) Holly
Hi Holly, I hope it all goes well today. Ah resting by the flower garden, sounds nice. I hope there's a benevolent breeze blowing for you, and that you sit in the shade!
Hello
I am taking a break at work from typing up reports and "fixing" people's problems. Hubpages is a wonderful distracton!
Wow, what a busy day your having!
Me? I got caught up with hub reading and spent the rest of the day fighting the tears (and doing a very poor job of it!) that followed reading a very moving hub by HC Porter. Hopefully tomorrow will be better...?
I hate those moving hubs! Love 'em, but hate 'em!
Good morning hubworld!
Good Morning ... well, afternoon here. I have a million and one things I wanna do today. I'm supposed to be job searching but there are no jobs and there are other things I'd rather be doing instead. I need to update the software on my iPod and put a load more music on it. I need to write some more of my novel, because if I can't get a job I should really try and get published. I need to write some more hubs; another money making ploy and I really really should read some hubs since I haven't done that in months! There just aren't enough hours in the day!!
Oh man I know. Not enough time. I wish I'd taken it all seriously months and months ago.
No jobs around here either. Rural area, chicken farmers. And living over an hour from the city seems to prejudice potential employers against me.
I'm a write a fish hub this morning, since that account has waned the last few days. In fact I hope to get two done today, but that never happens for me.
I'm so slow at writing hubs and usually too lazy to do any research, which is probably why I havent earnt anything since xmas. I'm just too lazy.
I find it difficult sometimes to get started. That's the hard part for me.
I hit the wall about three weeks ago. I'm living "awareness" that I don't give a ratsazz about nuthin', and posting a lot on the forums, going to movies, and pretending I'm busy. (And working a lof of regular hours at work...)
Today I'm bringing home a friend to spend the weekend at my place while I go out of town. She lost everything and took a trip to the mental health resort. Her weekend will be finding a place to live, more work (she is a brilliant actress and is very good). I think her coping skills are coming along.
I'm planning on getting out of town. Going to LA with a friend on his birthday weekend. He's there for biz and pleasure, I'm there to work more connections and try to find some passion and drive again. We have fun when we travel. Might be a lunch meeting with some industry people.
Hopefully this will jump start me back into life. I think I've burned out the candle and trying to find another.
Gotta light?
You'll find something. The muses come and go, which is good really, cause we all need a break sometimes. Sounds like a fun weekend planned! I'm jealous.
Strangely, I've had this feeling not to push it or to take on anything else right now. It's hard for me to just "be with" that feeling, since I'm so used to having projects all lined up. But I am reinventing myself musically, so maybe it's a part of that.
The trip will be expensive. LA is never a cheap weekend. But my friend is a part-time TV/Film producer, and we always meet up with the most interesting people. Just last week, I met Ty Burrell of "Modern Family." He doesn't live in LA, he lives in my neighborhood! LOL I had a nice talk with him. We'll probably meet with a couple of other directors and producers for a lunch, which is usually where we meet a few other names in the business. Always very interesting. The part I love--meeting the people.

I'm not sure if I'm just burnout out or if I'm doing something wrong. Here is a simi-short version of my issues....I wrote for eHow for years, I was a loyal writer, whose content was actually somewhat decent. I was completely dependent on that income. When it changed over to Demand Studios, I...

produces: anxiety!C'mon, Hubpages! I've been a good boy. I've improved my hubs. I've been "awarded" a Level 2 Commentator (oh joy.) My personal story of near death and survival is consistently coming up TWICE (original hub and five year follow up) in Google search on page one out of over...

I had a fairly productive weekend, but I definitely didn't get as much stuff done as I would have liked. I'm still on pace and have taken care of most of the research that I needed to do on my topics, so I should be able to crank these things out with no problem. I guess all I need to do now is...
