Choosing products can be done one of two ways: selecting a specific item, or allowing the system to choose for you, by letting it know one or more keywords that describes the product.

If you're going to add a specific item (with the Amazon ASIN) be sure to change the 'keyword' default in "Type of search to use to gather results" to 'ASIN'. If you don't the products you have selected will not show in the capsule when you exit from edit mode.

    More info here.

How to get the cash from Hubs Is it through paypal the famous payment processing system on the net? I really dont know this, since the hubpages never asked for my payout information.

HubPages doesn't pay out via Paypal.

The earnings are paid by Adsense, Ebay and Amazon.

Darkside that solves a problem I had, great! Didn't know I could put up a specific product.
Thank you very much. Thanks, Ashley for bringing this up!

It's kinda hidden away there behind a tab. Though it's understandable to have the keyword search as the default.

Though it gets a little tricky if you don't first specify the ASIN as the method of adding a product before you copy and paste in your selections.

Be aware that if you're after a book you're looking for the ISBN and not the ASIN.

The quickest way to find either is to do a quick find in your browser (I use CTRL F shortcut keys) and type in ASIN (or ISBN) to find it then copy and paste it into HubPages (though I paste it into a Notepad text document and build my content there before claiming the hubpages.com URL for my topic).

That's a very helpful addition, thank you.
Sadly, my book is not in Amazon.com but available in .co.uk, .co.jp and .de.
Pasting the ISBN from these yielded no results. I have to be content with using the link module. Sigh.

It's nice to find information on computer use that I know nothing about.

This is something I don't need at this time, but for someone to use their time to help others is a good thing.

Marisa Wright has helped me in these ways many times.  She kept me writing, when I otherwise might have given up.

Keep up the good work.  I'm Betty Jo

Hello:  I signed up for the Amazon affiliate program 2 days ago, and added the revenue capsule on each of my hubs, but ads are not showing; is it too soon for my Amazon ads to show up?  I assumed they would show up quickly as with the Google Adsense ads.  Also, I don't see any earnings, not even 30 cents, sad  with my Google Ads. I know... I know... I am new but at least one of the ads have been clicked during the past few days as a friend of mine clicked on one, per her email.  How can I open a Channel with Google ads so I can see the profit numbers?  Any help will be appreciated.

Amazon ads should display whether or not you're signed up as an Associate, provided you have set up the capsule correctly.

Add http://hubpages.com to your Adsense URL Channel.

Thanks, Darkside for your reply! Will go and check my capsule settings for Amazon, and add the hub URL to my Adsense Channel. I must be missing something regarding Amazon as I thought I was doing everything correctly... will check.

The conversation here about ISBN's and the selection of specific books was very helpful for me. Finally, today I was able to add books from Amazon to my hubpages by following the instructions discussed here; thanks again,  everyone and to  darkside for your responses to these questions.

Excellent. Check back on your Adsense account to see that in the very least that it's recording page impressions and then you can be sure that it's working properly.

I forgot to mention that you should be signed up as an Associate, if you wish to be making any money from Amazon. Otherwise the affiliate code being attributed to 100% of the pageviews will be HubPages by default.

        >>>

Just went and checked my Adsense account and yes, its recording the data. I signed up as Amazon Associate, so I think I am all set! Ebay is next,  but not yet, as I read in Hubpages that Ebay closes accounts if there isn't activity, so I am waiting to write more articles and get more traffic.
