Hey Hubbers,
Who is up for an INSTANT Hub Challenge?
(a) write a hub in 30 minutes
(b) write 600+ words or more
(c) publish in under 30 minutes
That's it.
After each hub is publish, each will be read and commented on, so that you have at least one reader and comment, to start off.
*it is pretty sure that the participants will also read your hub and possibly comment* I would rather not speak for others, but that is what has happened when playing the challenge.
You get a freshly created hub and multiple comments.
You might even get an adrenaline rush from the creative flow of juices and pure conscious thought that runs over you.
Even if you do not accomplish, at least you tried it.
Come join.
Evil, huh
It's 1:02pm here on the East Coast of the U.S., so is it late? No.
You need a kick in the arse? Okay, then I guess you are playing regardless...it will give you the kick in the arse you need.
Well ok, but we need more participants. Where are they all? Maybe they're scared of the 30 minute challenge.
NB - was that word count requirement there last round?
I have tea + toast + sleep deprivation.
All set
Well, I have done one challenge with a few others and that was the writing goal I set, because a "quality" hub as minimum 600 words, at the very least.
Usually, a "quality" hub is about 800-1500+ words, depending on content.
So, a few hundred words less, should make 30 minute challenge more interesting.
I too have my coffee and waiting for takers.
We're heading to breakfast in fifteen or twenty, or might have jumped on this. I have a little rant about McDonalds I could go on. <sigh> Oh well.
And, no, Audrevea, I didn't have a word count in the one we did a few weeks back if that's the one you're asking about. I think there's enough pressure just to do it, much less count words. But, having one does add an extra edge, I'm sure.
Have fun u two.
Cag's one of these days, our timing will be on again.
Hey Shadesbreath,
Well, I guess in order for that to make happen, then I guess you'll have to start another one of these threads.
The next one you start, regardless of whether or not, I am in the mood to write, I'll take part anyways.
I had one challenge recently with a few members and wrote a hub, and 15 minutes in, I scrapped the hub and started over.
I did not complete in 30 minutes, I was 5 or 10 minutes over.
I checked - the last one I came out at 775 ( so I passed!).
Cags, I don't think we have enough takers. The forums have gone so quiet lately.
Glad to hear on the 775 word count on last hub. My word count was somewhere about 735. So I qualified too.
Yeah, the forums have been slowed. There is a reason for it, but too many factors to list.

Simple rules:1. Do NOT start writing hub until I (as in ME only) says, IN this thread, "GO"2. One Hub. You have 30 minutes to write it, from scratch. (you can have your word doc open in advance etc., obviously, just no writing). No cheating and using something you started before.3....

Ok, so I have this idea. It may flop horribly, but that's fine too, I'm bored so, whatever. So, I've seen the 30 day challenge before, 1 hub every day for 30 days. I have not the attention span for that. However, as a drinker, a bored person, and a fast typist, I might go for 1...

Hey Hubberville,Are you in the mood to write? Would you like an energy rush from adrenaline? Step up, take on the Instant Hub Challenge! What is an "Instant Hub Challenge"? To be completely honest it varies from host to host, however, the main objective is to write and publish one hub in...

I was hub hopping and had to flag a few hubs for being substandard (word count). One hub had exactly 10 words and 2 photos. There should be a way the system prevents you from publishing a hub like that except if it's in the poetry section.

I haven't been actively writing on Hub Pages in a while and want to get back into this and this might get me motivated.I remember hearing about a 100 hub challenge some years ago and I know that I could not possibly write 100 hubs in a month. That is why I am attempting to do this in a...
