Can't find the answer in the help section.
The help section states that we retain ownership of the content we publish on hubpages - does this extend to the right to sell our account to another person?
Anyone's help appreciated...
It would be all but impossible to sell a single hub, but I don't see why you couldn't sell an entire account.
I suspect that you could but it would not be secure. You have your ad sense and amazon etc. affiliate info hooked up to your articles and profile and that is not something you want anyone to have access to.
There is no marketplace to sell a hub the way there is to sell a Squidoo lens. So you can't write a hub, have it place well in the SERPs and then easily sell it and transfer the ownership.
You have to write it for the person from the start.
Interesting subject. Maybe you should try the "Squidoo lens" that 'Nelle Hoxie' commented about.
Interesting, I guess it would be really difficult to sell an individual Hub as it would need to be unpublished dropping the Hub Score back to 50 and breaking any backlinks.
Selling an account could work but ann the personal AdSense and Amazon info would need removing first.
If you don't own the actual domain or website then your not really buying anything real, and your not selling anything you really own.
Hubpages could decide to vanish tomorrow, taking all your hubs with them. There would be nothing you could do about it. Which is why I prefer to use my own websites I bought the domains for and pay my own hosting.
There is a little known marketing ploy where you buy the youtube account of a person who generates huge amounts of views but does not promote any links. Their in it for the fun and nine times out of ten cannot resist a good offer. Say the youtube account generates over 50k views and the stats are climbing, that's a good account to buy and put your own link in the description. Doing this means huge traffic numbers to your chosen site, and is one of my methods that I use for a traffic pump.
The same can be said about Hubpages. If your generating a lot of views, have some (some) page rank to your hubs and it is generating an income, then some one will buy it.
The first thing that comes to mind to sell an account is a forum like digital point where you can buy and sell all kinds of stuff.
Being a Hubpage account, and one if it is any good, holds substance, would generate a lot of interest and would be a gem in any marketers arsenal.
A starting price would be at least ten times the monthly if not yearly income.
I think Terry's right - I don't see why you couldn't sell a HubPages account.
HubPages wouldn't ever know - you'd just give the buyer your username and password. Obviously you'd disconnect your affiliate ID's before you handed them over.
Of course, if you've used your real name as a username, then you're going to have a problem...
As for selling individual Hubs - some people have sold the content of an individual Hub for use elsewhere, then they just delete the Hub.
I think there's no legal way to sell your hubs or hubpages account.
I doubt if its possible to sell an HP account. Rather, Marisa's idea of selling the content and deleting the hub seems more feasible IMO.
Who would want to sell a hub they spent so much time on? One you can earn from for a long time?

I can't seem to find an answer for this in the learning center. I have a large set of articles I've been writing for a while + some time on my hands to dedicate to Hubpages for the next couple of months. Would publishing 10 hubs a day benefit or disadvantage me, both in terms of hub score /...
