    Hi HubPages,

I'm trying to include a URL link in the Comments section of my hub to other hubs, but it keeps shortening the URL.  Is this a glitch or by design?  Am I doing something wrong?  Do you know a workaround?

    Thanks very much...

No idea why that's happening - have you tried using the short URL instead?

However, I'd suggest you're missing a major opportunity with that comment anyway.   Why not take that reply and use it to create another Hub?  Then change your comment to say "thank you for your comment, I will be writing a Hub to give you a detailed reply".

URLs will be automatically shortened in comments. They are nofollow anyway so there is no real problem.

Thanks, Peter, but it's not going there.  When I click each link, it goes to an error page saying the hub doesn't exist.

Marisa, thank you, I just changed them to the short URL - but it still says the hubs don't exist.  Actually, "That Page Doesn't Exist."

Can someone from the Hub Team help?  I think they're the only one who can tell me if I've made a mistake somehow or if there's glitchiness.

I would email HP.   I'm still getting "page doesn't exist" for the first link although the second one works.  Doesn't make sense!

Ah got it now, the url you are using is http://hubpages.com/t/abb2a. the url should be http://hubpages.com/t/abb2a  without the dot at the end. Looks like you made a typo entering the url.

    Thanks, you guys.

Peter, you're right, that did it.  I see now that the sentence period gets tacked on to the URL.  Thanks for figuring it out.smile
