I checked out "O-Mazing Grace" earlier and I got quite a kick out of it.  (And so did my kids).  My sister, (singingmommy), told me about this before, but I've never viewed it until today.  That's the only one that I've got to so far though.

I think my sister would tell you that being pastor's daughters for 16 years we've witnessed things almost this bad on several occasions.  We could write a book on the funny things that we've encountered.  I've put a few of them in some of my hubs.

I'll be checking out your funnies too, C Politico.

I love that video and Id love to hear your stories... maybe a hub about them? Thanks for checking out my hub! You seem like a very pleasant and intelligent woman.

this whole situation has gotten out of control.... If you didn't like the hub, flag it and move on. There was no need to stir up all this nonsense. Personally, like what everyone else has pretty much said, there's not true nudity in the pictures. I don't think that there's enough offensive pictures to constitute anything wrong. I see where some of them could be offensive, but as there are a million pictures, that number makes a small ratio that is possibly offensive.

I think that you're jsut starting crap to start something. Grow up. And appologize...

And, I was thinking the same thing as Mark, that you College, the one how hates this hub, is the main one driving traffic to it... Which is ironic.

Let's hear the CLEAN funny stuff, people!  (There. I clarified it for you, Politico).

Anyone have any good ones?  smile

Thank you... I tried to clarify that before too. Maybe it will work this time?

Well, I for one do not find an ignorant black man unable to string a sentence together very funny.

This is degrading to him and you should all feel ashamed of yourselves for finding it funny.

    blessedmommy and I quote:

"Our little girls are feeling the pressures of society and are starving themselves with anorexia."

From someone who writes a hub entitled "Lose Up To 10 Pounds In 3 Days On The 3-Day Diet"

How dare you judge me in this fashion when you have not even looked at my photos?

You are a hypocrite destined for eternal damnation.

I'm sorry that you are resorting to attacks to make yourself look better.  People often do this when they don't have a good argument to present.

I am not a hypocrite simply because I post information.  This is useful information that many a fat people may be able to benefit from.  I also encouraged people to see a doctor before starting.  If it's not right for them he/she can let them know.  Now if I would have added a photo of a ridiculously skinny woman half dressed and claimed that if they do this diet they will look like this, then indeed I would be a hypocrite.  You also left out the part how after trying the diet myself, I stopped when I began getting sick.

As far as your photos, I did see enough to present my case.

No, I am not headed for eternal damnation.  Now, who's judging?

    Blessedmommy,

I just want to remind you that you were the first to attack Mark in this thread. He is only defending himself. And the tone of his response to you was caused by the tone of your attack...

While I do think him calling you hypocrite was a kind of overkill, I still believe you blaming on him all real and imaginary evil of Western civilization was overkill ten times over...

    1. blessedmommy profile image81
blessedmommyposted 16 years agoin reply to this

I am not attacking Mark, just the things that he stands for.  I can't recall one instance that I have called him any names or personally insulted his character.  His hub? Yes.  Him? No.

I also don't know where you get the idea that I'm blaming Mark for the complete moral decline.  Yes, his hub and other things like this contribute to it, but to try to insinutate that I was blaming it on him...now, that's ridiculous and you know it.  And for your information, these evils are VERY real.  Although some may criticize me for being in church, it has also put me in the middle of a lot of hurting people that have come crying for help.  I have also been a teacher and I have seen first hand many hurting hearts and broken lives because of various situations of moral decline.

It's funny, (well, not really), how that you and others really can make personal attacks like you did on C Politico, and not consider them attacks.  Also, when those of us who stand for morals state our beliefs, we're arguing or attacking, but when you or others really do attack you are just defending yourself or practicing freedom of speech.

Also, when we have tried to close the subject, who are the ones that keep rekindling the fire?

I hope you're not suggesting the answer is Mark or Misha, because it was clearly Politico. There hadnt been any comments for almost a day, and then Counterpunch made a harmless joke at Marks expense, and Mark made one back in a language I assume Politico does not speak, or Politico wouldn't have replied as he did.

        1. thecounterpunch profile image61

It's now my fault, oh no Politico is going to crush me big_smile

The problem is a usual about Religion on the Background. You have the "bigots" on one side and the "depraved" on the other sides, it's always entertaining ... and the mirror of society in which the concept of morality is more and more fuzzy.

My fault... really? Mark's comment in English was clearly trying its best to make fun of me... So when I respond how does that make me the one who brought everything back up again?

Look who broke the silence big_smile Told yea!

Cause I never in my almost 50 years of life seen a boy who would react like you to the pics of half-naked sexy women. And seen plenty of girls who would. Of course there is a remote possibility that initial review in this thread has been done by your girlfriend or mom, and you are just trying not to lose your face now - but I think it is too remote. Until proven otherwise, my working assumption is you are a girl pretending to be a boy.

    Told yea, guys tongue

People cannot be blamed for the fact you don't get it first and second time. They are trying to do their best to explain...

    Quotes, please

Let me just quote your original post:   Now, I pay $100 to the person who can find words "hubpages" or "google" here big_smile

Umm, well, and how many people on this forum disliked the hub? 3? Is 5 bigger than 3? Is majority what is bigger? You tell me...

Yes, that is what people are trying to explain to you over the course of several weeks: Unasked for criticism is *not* appreciated. Did you get this finally?

    1. College politico profile image60
College politicoposted 16 years agoin reply to this

So I must be a girl because I find sexually explicit and pornographic pictures repulsive? You have and interesting idea of what it means to be a man...

Just because I disagree with someone doesn't mean I don't understand what they are saying...

Part of the reason I found it offensive was because of the sexually explicit and nude photos (how many times do I have to say it) and those photos violate the rules of hubpages and google. Mark even says that at the beginning of the hub.

So you're saying that if 5 people think something is right than it must be right? Thats interesting...

    Just to make a point:

The definition of Nudity, directly from Wikipedia:
Nudity is the state of wearing no clothing. ... It is sometimes used to refer to wearing significantly less clothing than expected by the conventions of a particular culture and situation, and in particular exposing the bare skin of intimate parts and has analogous uses.

(BTW - I found the photos absolutely hilarious and totally inoffensive. Thank you Mark for posting them!)

  11. Misha profile image63
    Mishaposted 16 years ago

I don't need an idea of what it means to be a man. I am a man and I *know* what it means big_smile

Do you find all what violates google rules offensive?

No, I was saying that if 5 people liked the hub, and 3 disliked - it means that majority did not find it offensive... I did not say anything about being right. And, btw, it was much more than 5 and it was exactly 3.

Now, I suggest you stop it first and move on. I promise not to post anything else here if you don't. big_smile

    1. College politico profile image60
College politicoposted 16 years agoin reply to this

I am a man. I don't want to be the kind of "man" you seem to appreciate... sorry to disappoint.

No, but in this case what offends me and what violates the rules were one in the same...

The number of people who find it offensive doesn't matter when it clearly violates hubpages rules.

Ok I have answered your questions and I haven't asked you any further questions... can we be done now?

  12. Mark Knowles profile image59
    Mark Knowlesposted 16 years ago

Well, I think we have broken the record for the most amount of responses on one forum thread here.

Misha - She has pretty much made it clear that the only way she will stop posting to this thread is if hers is the last post.

College - You have made it abundantly clear you do not care what other people think of you, but as usual you have completely missed the point of what I was saying in the interest of generating an argument, so I will spell it out more clearly.

As several other people pointed out to you in another thread - If you continue to behave in this fashion, you will find yourself banned. I have no doubt you have been banned from other communities for this sort of behavior and truly hubpages is not the best venue for this type of behavior - I believe there are any number of chat rooms that welcome this sort of thing.

And if any latecomers are wondering what sparked this massive thread, here it is:

  13. College politico profile image60
    College politicoposted 16 years ago

I find it abundantly amusing that you think my actions are a basis for being banned.

Let me list some of the things you've done in this thread...
You posted a hub with sexually explicit and nude photos (of which several were obviously copied from other websites)
You've posted personal attacks (some of which pathetically tried to intimidate me, that was laughable really)
and you've cut quotes of me in order to make it look like I said something I didn't (that really should get you banned from any forum)

oh and no, I've never been banned from a website for debating with people before.

Also if anybody would like to see a funny hub that doesn't have sexually explicit material go here:

Well that was easy.  single consolidated thread on comparative morality is better than having it smeared to lesser amounts throughout the forums.

    Let's hope it holds!
