I joined Hubpgaes 5 days ago and spent some time learning from the best and have put together two separate hubs from my niche.

Could you guys look through it and tell me if I'm on the right track and can start promoting or if I'm making some obvious errors. Thanks smile

There's a forum specifically for that purpose.  Post there.

That would be the extreme makeover and it would be helpful to include links to particular hubs in the future.

Yes it would.  But it's rather easy to find, isn't it?

I just could not remember the name, sorry.

And here I thought WE knew it all and it was only THEM that responded rather rudely.  Maybe THEY are nicer to the new members then the rest of US.

I'm sorry.  Did you feel I was rude to someone?  That was not my intent.

None taken! And my apologies for posting on the wrong forum. I just saw the Need Help? and decided that was for me!

        Seriously why bother responding?

Seriously,  because it's easy to find.  Yes, I should have named it, but I had a brain freeze and just could not think of it.  I knew it was obvious, so I didn't bother to go get it.  I'M SORRY!

What's this US and THEM stuff?  You think you are something special because you've been here a little bit longer?  Whoopee do - Dollars to donuts I have been on the Internet longer than you and have written  more and have made more money.  Plus I'm better looking.  And taller.  And funnier.  And I live just North of you.  And somebody with the same last name as you worked for me once.  And I drive a Subaru. Do you get my point?  NONE OF IT MATTERS!

Anyway, if I seemed curt, I apologized and apparently that apology was accepted.  I'll even offer apologies to you if that will chill you out because I hate it when dogs don't like me.  I hate fighting with dogs over really stupid stuff like whether or not I insulted somebody who wasn't insulted.

Especially dogs who think two people who have both been here less  than a year are US and THEM.

But that's just me.  What do I know?

Wrong yard. Sorry. Leaving now.  Nice doggie..

I thought people's user names and avatars were off limits? Apparently not.

Now I have to offer apologies to you.

I an abjectly sorry. What can I offer as penance?

PCunix apparently believes it is OK to confront people on this forum by making a mockery of their avatars etc. I beg to differ, that is all.

As for the previous incident that I am now being criticized for, PCunix apologized back then and promised to be more careful in the future. I now understand his lack of sincerity.

PC Unix has repeatedly been apologizing on these forums, lately; I must wonder why.

              A mockery?

I give up.  You have a very odd view of things.

Yes, I "apologized" to you there because what choice did I have when you can't read well enough to understand what I said?  I was apologizing to help you understand - I shouldn't have bothered.

I wasn't mocking Arthur.   You see it that way, that's your problem and trust me: it IS a problem.

Have a lovely day.   Go police some more forum posts if you like.

Hey B, you are on the right track..

Send your future hubs to at least 3-5 social bookmarking sites and that's it. The search engines will do the rest.. Give the search engines time though.. In the meantime, make more hubs on that niche and find more keywords using the Google Keyword Tool.. More hubs means more traffic..

Welcome to Hubpages.  If you post in the (Extreme Hub Makeover) part of the forums,  you can post links to your hubs in this category.  There will be plenty of members who will give you some constructive ideas on the design of your hubs.

      Good Luck  smile

Nice start! I would suggest, however, that you don't start out with a huge photo that makes the reader scroll to find any text. And if you keep the photos out of the way until at least your second capsule, you'll let a few more AdSense ads in there. And you definitely need to beef up your tags too. But otherwise, nice job!

Arthur Fontes is a big boy, he can take it. But if PC Unix could somehow confirm that he didn't really mean it about the dog thing, that would show a good example.

There is no scene.  I find the "they are so bad and you cant trust them thing" vs "the we are always right and you should trust us" thing kind of funny.

          I believe in the individual.

It is easier to hold hate and resentment against a group then it is to have the same feelings for an individual human being.

Any attempt to divide the people I look at as suspect?

The response to the OP?  If someone takes the time to reply to the question then they should take the time to find the right answer.   Or else why bother?

WE--I have to agree with Pcunix--you totally over-reacted. I think you would be hard-pressed to find anyone else that saw this forum banter as a "mockery" or "confrontation."

    Chill out.

    1. Pcunix profile image90
Pcunixposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Well, it's easy to misinterpret.  In forums particularly because we all tend to be a bit more careless in forum posts.

It's not usually a problem, because if we weren't clear, someone else's reply will be.  If everyone is a little unclear, the OP can still probably get the gist by glomming all the vague advice together.

Humor is a bit dangerous.  It can fall flat or be seen as mockery.  Something you thought was funny at two am can not be so cute in the morning.

I had no intent of mocking anyone.  I HAVE mocked people, I CAN be a really nasty and cruel person, but the older I get, the less likely that is to happen.  I get more mellow every year :-)

I'm sure WE is just trying to be helpful and although I think he or she does need to calm down a bit, I do understand the desire to make  HP a better place and can agree with the intent if not the execution.
