Can adsense clicks be worth absolutely nothing?

   I'm not sure, but I think you're not supposed to disclose your click stats and earnings, so I guess I'll just ask a general question: can clicks, say 5-6 clicks combined, earn you next to nothing, say like, $0.01?  Is that possible or might there be a mistake somewhere?  Thanks

      Yes they can.
      
      They can also be worth 0.004 which is rounded down to 0.
      
      They can also be public service ads which do not pay.
      
      Or, like Website Examiner said, they can be invalid clicks.

      I am so glad I read this before posting my question.  I have adsense and everytime I check my earning it says 0.00  My traffic is steadily increasing so I just didn't understand what was happening and why I was not earning 1 good cent.  Thanks

   The clicks may be deemed invalid, which means no pay. Even the kind of activity you mention as an example is not that unusual.

   well there are days i get 10 such clicks which are worth 0.01 in total, something to be worried about? I dont click my ads neither i have any friends who know about it ....sorry for thread hijack..
   
   is it possible that these clicks go into the 40% hubpages share?

      You may want to search the Google Adsense forums, blogs, and help pages for further information on this. It is possible to report unusual click activity to Google, but for this to be helpful there would have to be some kind of pattern or a sudden burst in clicks. If you sign up for Google Analytics and enable that for HubPages, you will be able to see whether there is a pattern - e.g. all of these clicks coming from the same location.
      
      Clicks that go into the HubPages share of page impressions will never appear on your Adsense account statistics. You get 100% of the revenue from clicks on your share of the page impressions.

         thanks buddy...ill see analytics now....its normal, not a sudden thing, i generally get 5-10 clicks a day anyway, but sometime they yield nothing...

            It is possible that advertisers just aren't paying much for the keywords you're targeting. As RyanKett said, some ads could have a payout that's just a percentage of a penny. Some keywords may pay better on different days or different times of the day--it all depends on how advertisers have set up their ad campaigns.
            
            Bad clicks can happen for a number of reasons besides someone intentionally clicking on them. A reader could click the ad and close the page before it fully loads, or they might click on it several times to get it to load if their PC is running slowly.
            
            This article may help you to understand why some of your clicks pay less than others.

               Thanks, Irohner.  That might be the best explanation for this specific case since it says 6 clicks on adsense earnings report, but it doesn't register in analytics at all.
