There are numerous hubs and forum posts on how to optimize your hubs. While it might be hard to take a break from writing to do keyword research, formatting, tags etc. it is well worth it. If you are beginning to optimize your hubs, I recommend, as many others do, starting first with your most popular hub. I have done that and that particular hubs score has been hovering between 97-99...something i've rarely seen. Is it weird that I'm so excited by the number 99?

It's a lot of work and not much fun optimizing old hubs (compared to writing new ones), but well worth it. Cheer all...

    Hey Jdaviswrites,

I would suggest doing the research you are talking about, BEFORE you actually write the hub. If you are re-vamping older hubs, then I would say that writing new stuff should be researches first, then written.

As for the hubscore and getting excited. Feel free. wink big_smile

    Hope that helped. smile

I agree, in hindsight, I should have done better research to begin with on things like keywords and tags... but I was interested in writing just to write at the time.

After seeing the potential of hubpages, i'm going back and, like you said, re-vamping old hubs. This includes writing some new content as well.

I'm still learning though...mostly from people like you Cagsil. Thanks

I wrote a Hub on optimizing existing Hubs - you'll find a link on my profile blurb.  Might help.
