So far, every time I post a hub, I get a few views from other hubbers. What cues a hubber I've posted?

Yep, you'll show as a recently posted hub..Also any followers will be notified when you post a new hub.

Jaxoncox83, this makes the most sense. Where do I find recently posted hubs?

It could be a follower of yours, as they are alerted when you publish a hub. Or it could just be random traffic that is HubHopping.

Random, most likely, as only one person chose to follow.

      Thanks Irohner.

Also, all hubbers' activities are logged in the hubtivity on the home page.

        Sign out, then http://hubpages.com

Or, click on the link when you are signed-in and it will take you to your specially designed homepage.

When you're signed in, click on the HubPages logo.  It will bring you to your  home page.

          Beth100,

I'm confused all over, sorry. The hubpage logo takes me to a listing of my activity. I thought you were directing me to the place where all activity was listed as it was generated via all hubbers.

I don't know why, but I'm sure the few views I've been getting when I post were not from hubbers sitting on my activity page waiting for something to happen. (lol)

That's okay.  It's better to ask a question than to sit scratching our head and watching strands of hair fall out.  smile

There are two pages that you can navigate to.  The first page when you sign into HubPages is your home page.   The second page is your profile page which can be accessed by the words "Profile Page" which is located to the left of the "help" button on the black strip across the top of the page.
You will see this black header on your home page too.

At any time when you are navigating through HubPages, you can click on the http://x.hubpages.com/x/hubpages_120-60.gif logo to get back to your home page.

The home page has two style options that HP allows you to choose.  The first is the standard page.  This is what everyone starts with.  On the top right, there is a drop down box that allows you to change the format and look of the page.  This is called the Customizable Home Page.  This page has a great tutorial within itself and lends itself for you to customize the viewing panes of information that you are interested in through filters and groupings.

Let's go back to the Standard Home Page. You will see on the left your Welcome greeting and your avatar.  On the right is the listing of "Hubtivity".  This is where you will see the activity of all HupPage hubbers who are currently actively involved in contributing within the site.  This is live information.  This viewing pane allows you to see approximately 4 activities at one time.  If you would like to see more, click on the "More Hubtivity -->" words located at the top right of the pane.  Like magic, the list will pop up before your eyes.

To the left of "More Hubtivity -->" there is an option to edit your preferences.  This option is worded "Edit Preferences".  When you choose this option, the page that opens up will provide you a listing of the hubtivity plus the options to filter the listing as you choose.  If you alter the default settings, make sure you save before you leave the page.

I hope this helps, and if there are more questions, don't hesitate to ask!  It's Monday tomorrow, and off to work I go for the week.  Unfortunately, we do not have internet access roll so I won't be able to reply until late evening or the weekend.  If you like, you can email and I'll respond by the evening.  smile

Don't forget that your own views show up too.

More often, i see stats lagging reality.  I have a hub today with 2 comments and no pageviews :-)

Hi Carlprimetimelee smile welcome to HubPages. Click on your own photo will take you to your Profile page and at the bottom is listed your hubactivity and notice of followers. Also should get emails telling you that plus all followers may be notified by email that you wrote a hub. Clicking on the HubPages top left takes you to your Preferences where you can read Hubs you are following, answer questions, read hubs from fave topics. Play with your buttons along the top to see where it takes you. In your my account tab is where you can see list to click anywhere you need. Hope that helps. Feel like I wrote a novel tongue lol lol
