I already posted a question about this. Sorry, I'm posting another one because I haven't heard back from HP staff yet (I know they're busy). My latest hub is about armpit waxing and it almost never shows any ads. I can't really figure out why. This is the first hub I wrote after doing some keyword research so I do not feel like I'm off to a good start. If someone could please please take a look and tell me what might be the problem, I really would appreciate it. I was so motivated to start doing keyword research but now I'm not so sure.. I obviously did something wrong!
I have a problem like yours with my gossip Hub. I've been around the block with both the HP team and Google for the last 12 months about why ads don't appear on this Hub that in no way violates anyone's TOS.
It's got something to do with Google's robots.txt, a file that can be changed only by the site administrator (meaning HP).
HP's advice was to re-publish the Hub under a different URL, but I chose not to do that, because I'd lose two years worth of comments.
Hope this helps in some way.
I just commented on your Hub. Now, if you choose to republish it under a different URL, your comments section will be lost. But I'll be happy to repeat my comment.
When you say "almost never", do you mean it sometimes does show ads?
It looks fine to me but without ads. Is there an error message when you open the page to say that the automatic filter has disabled ads?
I can't honestly see why unless the girl with the hairy armpit is objectionable.
No, there is no message. You might be right that the girl with the hairy armpit is objectionable. I'll try taking it off later to see if it helps! Thank you.
I don't think its that. The girl is naked up top and her arm covers everything, and picture doesn't show anything intimate, but that would be a Hubpages staff revision to see the photo and disallow ads. The filter doesn't pick up pictures, but you say there are no error messages?
Just a thought, have you set the ad preferences to 'no ads'?
Good question, it sounds unlikely but sometimes things happen by accident...
Yeah I did it once on one of mine, but then I couldn't get the page to publish because it had Amazon ads on it. Took me ages to figure out what was wrong!
I did notice the OP doesn't have any Amazon ads so maybe it just went through without a warning message?
I checked and no, I didn't change the ad preference to 'no ads' by mistake but good idea! I just got a response back from HP staff and they said that ads have been disabled by Google but they're not sure why so I can either contact them or try republishing it under a new url because sometimes hubs accidently get flagged.
I saw your armpit hub and it doesn't have any ads at all. I think most advertisers don't want to have their ads in hubs that have a dubious context and armpits may be dubious. Also there are picture hubs of Indian women and their armpits and I think they didn't want to be part of those hubs either. I think that's why there are no ads in your armpit hub.
I have a hub about the mini skirt that doesn't have ads because it deals with the 60s sexual revolution and they don't like any hub that talks about sex.
I took a look too.... seems like there would be ads for Nair or Lady Gillette or something. So far all of mine have had ads but I'll pay attention in case this is a content issue.
Thanks for sharing this. I hope it's just s glitch that can be fixed.
I don't think there is any need to take the hub and rewrite the url which is keyword rich and refers directly to the hub.
Its the first time in my life I HAVE ever heard of the word 'armpit' being possibly objectionable to anyone. That can;t be true surely!
Wait till you hear back from Hubpages staff to see.

The hub mentioned the perils of NOT securing your WiFi, and one of them is your neighbor download NASTY STUFF off your connection and SWAT team breaks down YOUR door. The only thing I can think of that would cause this is a couple "keywords" that may be objectionable... four letter word...

I had a hub pulled. There was a list of reasons why it could have been, but no real reason...why....My question is, is it not okay to state the truth regarding people in order to save others from their terror? Keep in mind I backed by claim with over seven years of evidence.

Listen, I believe in live-and-let-live and to each his own, but I object to pro-life ads posted on my hub!! How do I get these people to stop? I went to the adsense page and didn't feel like I should have to do an hour of research to make them take this ad off my hub!

Hey everyone,This might seem like a silly question, the answer to which is probably glaringly obvious to my more experienced fellow hubbers, but I'm truly at a loss here. I'd like to know how you come up with original hubs to write after doing research on a proposed topic. Nearly every...
