For the first time in its 75 year history, the Heisman Trophy may be stripped from a college football player, Reggie Bush.  He won the trophy in 2005 while a running back at USC, but the honor may be stripped because of alleged misuse of the title by Bush and his family in '05.

Hadn't heard this.  Do you have a link to a story?  I will have to go search and see what I can learn.

Morning lorlie, I saw this at CNN, and they said it is not true, but they are looking into it. I hope not. And this one is the latest -- http://content.usatoday.com/communities … man-away/1

Thanks for putting up a link, pdh!  Kidgas, I just saw it on the local news, but here's another take:

The news is all over the place.  Hey, DB-I heard that the Heisman Trophy Trust is going to leave 2005 'blank' rather than give it to Young.

It appears Bush was livin' large in LA on someone else's dime while he was at USC. It's a clear infraction, but I'm not sure it's worse than what other Heisman winners have done in LA (remember that OJ guy?). I don't really care either way. Some have suggested that Vince Young should get it because he was second in the voting, but I don't agree with that. He was the second best in college football that season, and as long as Bush didn't cheat to enhance his performance, there's no reason Young deserves that trophy.
