does anyone else find it funny that "god" seems to change into different things depending on which christian you meet? like he ( or she?) is whatever people want it to be. not exactly believable!
you have it! Different Sects of religion + literary liscense + non qualified teachers = one big mess!
If you want to talk about "annoying religion" what I find "funny" as you put it, is that there is soooooooooo much talk about God and religion in the forums and it never seems to go anywhere but in a big circle.
It's just the same old "believers" vs "non-believers" or "my religion is better than your religion" or "prove God does or doesn't exist" nonsense. Some of the arguments are really quite interesting and often very logical, till eventually some fanatic or troll shows up and turns the whole discussion into a big joke because their views are so far out there no reasonable person could take them seriously. But nothing is ever resolved and no one ever changes their mine and they just keep on coming back over and over again, to the same old discussions and debates like addicts craving their daily fix.
It's true it does seem like some people are religion junkies so to speak. And the reason people initially get addicted to a drug is to feel something not produced by their own natural body chemistry. So if you need to be injected with Jesus and therefore insist that others need it too, then you probably don't feel Jesus in your heart.
Religious minded people have done greater damage than damage due to wars...More people have been killed in the name of religion...We need to rise above being religious minded . Being Spiritual minded is different from being religious.
the same way that "constitutional" has become synonymous with "moral" (instead of what it actually means: "according to the constitution"), religion has changed.
Funny how that works.
Religious fundamentalists of all stripes are a divisive force who create a lot of mischief and misery in the world.
Be love be peace be free. This will take care of annoying religion. This is the answer. Simple for the human being to be in their daily life. Thank you. Go in peace.

What are the most annoying responses Christians give to questions atheists ask?I'm a christian and I think that it would be helpful in ministry, if Christians new a bit more about how atheists felt about a Christian's rebuttal

Why do religious people always try and push their beliefs on you?

Yes, I will make this a hub after I am done OK?I have been a member of HP for long enough to write 30 hubs and have plenty of fans, my "score" always being in the 90's (big deal, some have "told me" to go write a hub, assuming I have not, funny how they are often...

I ask sincerely. This question spiked my interest after an atheist, who posts regularly on HubPages forums, complained that believers have 'forced' (her/his definition of the word) religion (Christianity basically) on her/him, countless times on these forums.She/he also admits that she/he, however,...

I am sincerely curious as to why those who do not believe in the existence of God would spend time and energy to convince others to believe the same? I am asking this respectfully and am seeking true, valid answers--not attacks or arguments. I just want to understand the...
