Interested in opinion from hubbers who do lots of product hubs...

   I am wondering whether or not it is a good ideas to NOT include a comments capsule in my product hubs.  Can anyone enlighten me?
   
   I do like when I receive comments on my hubs but I often get a lot of spam or comments that are just not necessary.  I've been noticing more and more product hubs from Hubbers that I follow that don't include comment capsules.  Sometimes I wish they did because I'd love to leave a comment concerning the product, but it also kind of makes the hub seem more like an article. 
   
   I have no idea if there are any pros and cons to this, which is why I'm asking.

      There are always pros and lots of them (?) and comments provide the opportunity for others to say what they think about the product good or bad, people go and buy a product based on recommendations ad I for one when shopping on Amazon always try and read the reviews if any, so that they can help make my mind up when buying.
      
      Sure you could leave out a comments capsule to combat the spam, but it's better to add a comments capsule and any spam that arrives can be labelled as spam and so it makes it harder in the comments sytsem that Hubpages has created for the same spammers to try and spam someone else here!
      
      You could try an equal amount of no comments product hubpages and those with them to test out this and see what happens.....

      There is anecdotal evidence since the end of June that suggests interactivity (polls and comments) is a signal Google looks for when ranking pages.  I tend to agree but have not done any of my own testing.

   Overall I like comments.  I have a lot of parents comment on the products I write about.  It seems to spark some controversy which makes the hub fun.

   Jut as Wayne suggested, give both a try. Do several hubs with a comments module and several without, see what results return for your particular product hubs.
   
   For me personally, I would not have a comment box as they are product review hubs and have more of commercial activity than just being a positive / negative review.

      Thanks for the great advice, Jase.  Like I said to Wayne, I'm going to give it a try both ways.  Actually all my product hubs so far have comment capsules, so my next few I'll try without one.

   Lily I just had to say I had a patient in the nursing home a short time ago whos name was Lily Rose, she passed away, how ironic. But before she passed we had talked alot and she was going to let me write a story about here here but I never got the chance. So weird that you have the same name.....
