define "feminist" !  and then tell me, why you care to know what they want?

haha!  that's what I thought - people can't define "feminist" nor in any reasonable fashion say exactly why they care what someone calling themself a feminist wants!  It's one of those - "lets debate the meaningless and see if anyone will argue" threads!  lol  same old HP forums!

It does kill time.  And occasionally there comes an interesting exchange.

I meant a personal definition - its interesting to see what people think words mean, BEFORE they use the dictionary or google it!  When we find that our attitudes about certain things in our world are based on definitions that are maybe not even close to the real meaning, we tend to look closer and maybe adjust our attitudes.  I felt that a question like "What do feminists want?"  is inherently judgmental - implying that feminists want something that is impossible, or unreasonable, or that they are just posturing and don't really know what they want - you know?  Like anytime someone asks what some undetermined segment of the population wants - it is usually somewhat derogatory and an opening for a discussion about "those people" - whoever they are.
